My information might be off but he was given a contract to play for the Arizona Cardinals but turned it down to join the Army. While being deployed in Afghanistan he was killed by friendly or enemy fire. The Army is still investigating.

Yeah, technology can be a good thing for the military, but when mother nature builds mountain ranges so steep and so hard to manuever, the greatest technology in the world can't keep soldiers safe.
