so i am lookin to buy this rifle, the vfc gas version and i know its a huge rilfe and all and heavy as hell, but how is it on range is it better then 6mm snipers, and what about upgrading the fps, if i even can

vfc is 8mm and packs a big punch. 450fps stock with a .34g bb. thats alot of energy for a stock sniper rifle. you wont need to upgrade the fps.

yea that thing is sure to go farther or as far as anything on the field.

well, I heard the initial models had a problem where the gas spring would weaken over time because the gas pressure was pushing against it or something, causing leaking that would have to be remedied by a new valve, or worse, a new mag ($100+)!

Jesus, he claims 800fps on top gas--that's literally as fast a .22lr. I'm guessing that would be advised against...

If he's using a reasonable gas it's cool. The thing would have to fall within sacairs FPS limits to be played with on a field anyway.

Yeah, i guess, you can get a 1000fps air rifle off of Amazon for under 200 bucks.

or you could just buy a ruger .22LR from Big5 for $179.99

Isnt there something about no 8mm at Sac Air games in the Sac air rules? I am not sure...but I thought I remember reading it some were.
