Orange tip ....

Jun 15, 2006 9:10pm
I was just wondering how many people go for realism , and get black flash-hiders and silencers , and how many play it safe and keep their orange tips on?

think of it like this..... if a cop sees you with it , and you are a distance ,is the orange tip THAT noticable??? besides , unless you play in public areas , it doesn't matter! :?

people who get rid of the orange tip are gonna ruin the sport for us i can see a cop shooting a kid because the kid was being a dumb as* and pointing it at ppl.

Hey man! I'm not telling people to take them off! i was just asking! and does it really matter?? Who is gonna start shooting people with an airsoft gun??!! it is treated as a real firearm! So why would someone shoot at people with one?!? I can understand him getting arrested for that!

The idiots who do stupid stuff and get themselves shot are the ones who ruin the sport, not those who play in safe, private areas away from the public eye, regardless of whether they leave the orange tip on. A cop don't care if there's an orange tip if he can't see it, and from a distance, you really can't. If you're playing legally on private land, or away from the public, you won't ruin the sport.

I saw a kid get busted on COPS for carrying a M9 airsoft pistol. The cop got a call that some kid had a gun walking down the street. So the cop pulls over, nabs the kid, and busts him.

guys, just last month a kid robbed a bank in my area with an airsoft gun painted black...so id leave it on or have something like such, my friend like his guns black so what he does is he takes masking tape and paints it black and tapes it on the tip just a little bit so he can pull it off 8) go ahead try that

i dont see many orange tips at games. but, i can say the one time LE has showed up to a game i was at (CQB), there wasn't a problem. everyone simply put their guns down, and when the guy got out his truck, he said something along the lines of, "Airsoft? Cool." He even shot a few pistols.

i've run into cops several times with my orange tips off. they usually assume they're replicas because 2 kids with masks, and guns sitting by a field where paintballers play usually doesnt mean they're going hunting or what not. they dont mind id u keep them away or out of ur hands, and are covered.

Yes, and since it's out of the public eye, the orange tip shouldn't really matter.
