Rebels VS US
I have a sugestion, and that is all it is, what do you think. When I was out at operation Anaconda (the first time I have played with a large group) it was a blast. Just one thing I did not know who was on my team and who was not. Do you think if the opposing team could were arm band or something like that to identify them from the us forces???? Just a question. It could be something as simple as a bandanna tied around your arm. What do you think?
If I can see you, I will shoot you.
We've done that in the past, it's just that sometimes you can't see the side of them it's on, and you misjudge your move. At least we've nailed one realistic aspect of combat on the head: jungle warfare is confusing and disorienting, and you're never as ready for that next guy as you think you are.
Ya that was me, that was a blast. I they did not know what hit them LOL
If I can see you, I will shoot you.
how do you know where the games are? ive looked at the events but it makes no sense like the one it says it at "the hill" where the hec is that? lol
UZI's Will own!
the arm bands someitme work sometimes dont, any way no matter how u run it its alwyas confusing at NAM. COOLNESS: U have to go to the meeting point for the games. We meet at the bk in marysville.
If we put a arm band on both arms then it would be visible from both sides. Any thing is better than nothing. A bandanna only cost like 1 or 2 bucks what is that compared to the $ we spend on our guns and ammo?
If I can see you, I will shoot you.
y not every body get like...2 bandanas and safety pin or just tie them both around each arm. then each side just pick if theyre gunna wear them or not.
True, but then there's always those who show up not prepared, and it kinda ruins the whole conformity thing. COOLNESS: I don't think we meet at the Burger King in Marrysville for NAM games, as most of us are south of the field, and the BK is north. We do however meet there for Hill and CQB field games, which are real close to eachother, cause those are further up north, outside of Marrysville. There is a sticky somwhere on this site that tells you how to get to the BK. I think it's in the Sacair Events forum.
If they are to come with 2 bandanas and don't then they can not complain that they are getting friendly fire. It could be just part of what is needed, like guns and ammo.
If I can see you, I will shoot you.
I think the colored armband (or bandana) is a great idea. This allows both teams to wear what they wish, rather than be an obvious "shirts vs. skins" game. SURE, there will be some misidentification and friendly fire, but that's also part of the realism. Let's face it... we didn't get into this sport for theatrics. We got into it to allow us to enjoy the sport of hunting our fellow man (legally). No one should be limited on the type of gear they wear to make teams more easily spotted or give one side an unfair advantage over the other by having more camo or tactical gear.

you've gotta admit though, that the occasional theatrical outburst is amusing, if not refreshing, in this sport. Those of us who enjoy serious milsim know what I'm talking about :D
Rebels should have a stick with a flag attached to it on their body so we can tell the rebels from the US. Hmm how about orange jumpsuits for the rebels. Just kidding but yeah something along the lines of what Nightstalker says would work.
