TM AK-47 question
I just got a TM ak47 and well... im a little disappointed w/ the look of the wood. I considered just sanding/staining it to make it look more realistic.. but decided that that wouldn't take away the creaky-ness.. so my question is this. Can i put on a wood kit and just keep the stock plastic body. Will this create too much stress on the plastic b/c of weight or anything. Can anybody foresee any problems. im just asking b/c i don't know.... thanks for all your help.. buh bye
iv never owned or donw research on AK's. but if i wer u i would get the whole thing, Metel and Wood kit

I've been doing research on my own, becuase I am planning on buying/trading for a AK. From what I've been able to gather, you can put on a wood kit into your AK. check out wgcshop.com theres plenty of cheap wood kits, along with rail sets.
i have a wood kit on my TM AK. plastic receiver / front end. no probs. it's a G&P kit and the wood is very light.

what wood kit would you reccomend?... and where from.. thanks guys
Get a Guarder Steel Kit...
Not all the plastic AK bodies "creak." live within your means kid, but if you've got the dough, do "what he said."
i just installed a G&P woodkit it did nothing to the plastic reciever. it also came with a metal gasblock, the thing that attaches the whole front end to the reciever. overall it was much better. and it looks kick ass too
the front end requires fitting...
