here is a new item from PROUD(same company who made the rail system in that other post). it is a new flash hider which is supposidly made the same way and everything, including the same material, as the real steel KFH flash hider(Ronnie has one i believe)

The one you have seen in the shop is a noveske KX3 (it's Brandons), The KFH is the older model of the KX3. yes they are made very similar to the real steel version but its got differences.

yeah, sexy... and expensive. That is, if its made like the real steel.

What is the purpose of this type of flash hider (real steel version) on real steel weapons? I've never seen one before.

They are designed after the Noveske FHs on the short barreled AKs.

They hide the flash VERY well. Like Erin said as far as reliability, they help with back pressure on short barreled AR's which helps cycling. And they look cool as hell.

yes the KX3 is a much better looking piece, it basicly operates like a single baffle supressor. there is a cone like a quarter inch gap where gases can escape and are trapped by the outer tube.

So if I stick two of them end to end I have to pay the BATFE $200? :lol:

It took 7 seconds to empty a drum mag. That is about 14 rounds per second or 857 rounds per minute.

I have one of these flash hiders for my M4 (airsoft) and thinks it actually makes the gun louder. Kind of a loud cracking noise. Standard flash hiders, and silencers kill the sound much better...and for an airsoft gun there is no flash :-)

Hurricane makes one also retails for $65-70 USD in HK. They are pretty heavy but really nice for short barreled M4's.
