Why are the bb's different colors? Is there a color code?

black ones get high fps, i fire them and they are so fast i cant see them

This has less to do with standardization and more to do with construction.

they are different colors so you can retrieve them after the game.

i always thought that .12's(non paintbal ones) come in yellow, light green and darkgreen(the dark greens ones have a small air bubble in them). .2's come in white, or you can get the inertia .2's in black(which suckass btw.) Then theres .23's they come in a white, with a small tint of blue over them, and .25's are usually a more yellowish white... dunno abouyt after that.

i think that crappy walmart/big5 bbs are diffrent colors and "good" ones are white.

ya plastic is yellow naturally.......i was told by andrew not to use walmart bbs cuz is screws ur gun over..........and then i stoped using them in my aeg..........i noticed a big difference in how it shoots if that makes any sence.

PHX .28 grams work great in my gun. a little pricy but its worh every penny.

I was impressed with PHX. i use some of theur .23g bbs and they worked equal to AE .23g bbs. competitive prices and quality, PHX isnt all that bad

hmmm thoase new bb's look like something my granddad had shot at him in WW2, although im gona do some reaserch ont he RAP4 gun sh!t it had my intials hehe.
