Velocity problem..
Ever since i installed the m120 spring in my gun.. It seems as though the velocity has reduced.. its been in the gun for a bout a week and now, it can't even shoot through one side of a soda can. When i first put it in it shot clean through both sides. Whats happening?
i think there may be a few possibilities:
its a ca m15a4.. so it should work properly.. with the metal bushings, reinforced gearbox, steel gears etc. i just dun get why its not shooting as fast as it should. i'll try to check out the mechbox if its greased properly.. thanx for the help!
All i can say is that when i first installed the spring, it worked fine. It shot through both sides of a soda can. Then after a week, for some reason it can't even shoot through one side. I don't really know why. Does it have something to do with the spring guide? i noticed that the ones that are in the market have ball bearings.. Mine is metal but doesn't have ball bearings. It has plastic. But does this effect the velocity?

Did it sit for a week with no use? If so, did it sit with the spring in the compressed position?
oh no i've been using it everynow and then. I never let it sit while the spring is compressed. would it be possible that the problem would be that the very last tooth on the pinion gear is getting chewed out one by one so the spring isn't compressed all the way when i shoot?
Sleetster, Wanna trade that thing for a TM MP5A4? It's stock and less than 500rnds been through it.
It has 1 hi cap, fore grip for flash light set up, battery. Never taken or use in a game. Ask anyone, I never been seen with an MP5.
I've seen you in the game with the mp5...you were wearing see through camo thongs that one time... *whistles* sexy legs!
Aww Snoop, I'm not talking about what you name my thingy. I'm talking about the actual TM AEG.
sorry dude...well, at least now they all know why billy doesnt touch it...

I cut a steel plate and put it in the front of mine. Also made one for the back, but Rangers BodyArmor in 1993 didn't have back plates, so I took it out. Yes they are cool when they have weight to them :D

Yeap, I always thought they had them, because of that sence in the movie too, but Jeff told me that it was an error in the movie Col. McKnight had made a comment about it, I looked into it out of curiosity, and sure enough the RBA that was issued in 1993 did not have truama plates in the back, so that part of the movie was just 100% hollywood and historically incorrect.
i'm looking for an RIS for the m4.. anyone have one? or know anyone who wants to get rid of one? i'll trade a cellphone for it =P its a nokia model 3200
Does the phone come with a RIS mount? :)
yup its got an RIS on it. Its been laser engraved with all trademarks intact. upgraded battery, and reinforced all metal case around it >.<**** btw it also has a carrying handle
ok! well i just relubed all the gears and the piston head and cylinder. And it still isn't shooting at full potential.. The gun is very much quieter now btw (thanx goodness) haha but its still not shooting like it should.. the o-ring was kinda flat on the piston head.. it didn't look round like others i've seen. Could this be the problem?
