paintball/airsoft???
my grandma informed me that she will get me a paintball gun that looks like the m16 style. just wondering about our opion. should i get the pintball gun and do both or go to paintball for good, or stay with airsoft. iamb kind looking for a reason to stay or not to stay, advantages and disadvantages... anyone wain help?
well, paintball you need to have to buy co2 all the time along with paintballs which can cost you total 60$ preparing for a game.
do waht i did. get a decent paintball gun (ive got a 2003 vertical feed cocker with 12 volt revy hopper and a carbon fiber air tank, overall cost me bout $500. not sure if you wanna spend that much) so i can go paintballing whenever the mood stikes me or my friends, but im much more involved in airsoft. so just get a small paintball gun that your comfortable with, but only if your friends are into paintball, otherwise who are you gonna play with
Well, here's my reason for going airsoft and not paintball. Take it or leave it, it's just one man's opinion.

yeah thast true.. now that i really take into consideration the WHOLE thing i do realize airsoft is better. but then paintball is fun. its a sport as sgt.muller said. but i look at it this way..Paintball is a fun sport, but aorsoft is a way of learning life lessons i guess you can say.
Airsoft is a way to channel anger and have fun with people and meet people and finally to feel like your kind of in real battle or int he army or something because the scenarios are really cool and realistic sometimes.
airsoft makes you feel better about yourself because you see that there really is people geekier than you, and you always have ham radio hobbiest to make fun of
Coolwater airsoft is a bunch of queers hence they all dress pretty and match all the time, most of them are simply adults that live at home still, when they arent doing airsoft stuff they like to play D&D and have circle jerks, they all voted for Jon Kerry and are democrats

i like both, they each have their fun sides, i like airsoft a whole lot more that paintball but its still fun, it comes down to what style of gameplay do u want more, speed styel with no tactis? or millitary simulation?
personally I have given up on both activities its all ham radios and stamp collecting for me now

paintball in my opinion is much more like ranged tag than military sim... airsoft can be both military sim or the same tag style.
why don't you ask your grandma since she's gonna buy you a paintball gun.

A big complaint about paintball is how expensive it is. it actually isnt that bad. If your like me and prefer gasers to AEGs (cheaper, faster, and smaller.) paintball is gonna cost about the same.

TM tells you not to upgrade your gun so as not to void the warranty. Doesn't mean you can't or are unable to. Otherwise, there wouldn't be an aftermarket parts and upgrades available.
