I already posted something about this, but i need some more specifics cause im still having trouble getting my handguards off on my ak. Ill try to explain where im at the best i can. I have removed the "collar" from the bottom handguard, the thing that kept the handguard from sliding out of place. I dont know what to do from here. I can slide the bottom handguard (with lots of force) a few centemeters back, but not enough to get it off. What part has to come off next? Top Handguard? Some other removable piece that i dont know about? Can the bottom handguard come out now? I have no clue. I have a guarder wood set in the mail, and i want to be able to install it soon. And before you ask, yes i do have the instruction manuel that came with the gun, i see all the pieces, but i have NO clue in what order they have to come off. I hope i explained my problem thouroughly, post a message if you need something clarified. Please help me if you know how to do this.

There is a screw (flathead) that holds it all in place (if I remember correctly) that is located just in front of the "adjustable sight." On the right side of the gun it looks like an lever...on the left there is a screw. If you unscrew that you'll notice that the "lever" peice is a long shaft that goes through the gun. That shaft holds the top peice on. If I remember...it somehow also holds on the bottom.
