California Public Schools suck IMHO. I was bored by the 8th grade. They weren't teaching me anything new anymore. Just the same kaka over and over. Well, I had taken some advanced classes earlier than most kids... but still. I decided to graduate out when I was 15, actually you had to be 15 1/2. I don't know if you can still do that, but back before god invented dirt, if you could pass the California Proficiency Exam, you were allowed to graduate early.

yes the spelling sucks, and the CA system isn't getting better anytime soon. In NYC when I was in HS (yes this is the mid-80's) if you passed all your required classes by Soph year, you could then choose a "major".

Tell me about it, my mom is a third grade teacher here in Auburn, and the stuff she has to deal with is hillarious. She has parents send notes with her kids back to class that say, and im spelling verabtim here. " "nate" didnt finish his homework cause i coulnt figure it ither." Now this is the THIRD grade. The stupidity coming out of schools now days (and the kids parents) is horrible. My mom is forced to teach kids how to pass standerizied test instead of teaching them normal third grade stuff, if that last sentence made any sense at all then you would get what I ment. I know im not a perfect speller or anything but come on.
