i'm new

Jul 26, 2006 6:56am
I'm new to airsoft and i don't have any gear yet. I wanted to know what some esential things to have to get started. The only things i own right now are eye protection, a two tone glock spring pistol (which i will not be using in the scenarios), a ski mask, and a warhawk utg AK 47 with two 340 round mags, a speed loader and a sling.

The CQB feild is about a 20 min drive east of Marysville, and NAM is located next to the yuba river ( please correct me if I'm wrong) in, you guessed it, Yuba City.

The target comment was probably right because I have never played before and have to get some backyard practice in before I'm anywhere near being able to play with you serious airsofters but im a pretty good target shooter with my pellet guns(which are all out of order at the moment).

You gain more experence out in the field with experenced people. Come to one of our games...we do make the teams roughtly eavenin terms of how many new people, compaired to how many experenced people...

Do any people use just pistols in any of the scenarios? I'm not talking about pistols only games just regular ones with everything.

i went out at the nam field with my beretta. i dont reccomend it.
paintballer :(

depends on the person,I personally carry a sidearm, its not a reqiurement but, when your too close to use a rifle, a pistol is a good thing. Most people don't use just pistols at most of the fields, unless you very skilled or lucky, due to range and rate of fire.Unless its an Mac 10 and your Shawn,

I don't think I'll be coming very soon because my gun is only 280FPS, I only have two mags, no vest to put my things in, no stuff to put in my vest, no BDU, no money (well, $5), and my mom still think's that airsoft will make me a cerial killer.

Deftanker, when christmas comes around I'm asking my parents for a CA G36k, so I'll refer them to your site because the price is cheaper with package A (the one i would need) than it would be to buy at any other website I've seen. Thanks once again for the link, it's in my favorites.

I've read different rules on what happens after you get shot and wanted to know what ways sacairsoft players play.

Muller, thanks for the link ,but I still don't get it. Does "respawn" point mean that you can always re-enter the game as long as you went there before returning to the battle and there is still time remaining in the current scenario?

How do you get the picture below where it says your screen name and what kind of poster you are (i.e. new poster) because I dont have one and I feel excluded. Not really, I just think they're cool.
Jul 28, 2006 7:52am
In general terms, "Respawn" is an area of the battlefield that is free of fire. After you are "hit" you call yourself "out" and walk to the respawn area. Once there, you can then regenerate (after your time) and reenter the game. Each tema will have it's own rules. (Personally I like MY recon team's rule as far as respawn goes. But you have to play by the rules enforced on the field.)

280 fps isnt bad at all, that what most stock TM guns use and u dont need 400 fps to be good, its all in the skill. Just come out and learn from the old guys.
