does anyone have any experience with or won or previously owned the GWS XM8 conversion kit? i have some really important quick questions. thanks :wink:

I think he was talking about the conversion kit for the airsoft version of the G36. From secondhand knowledge, I've heard that it was less than satisfactory. Mainly because of the integral scope. Instead of being magnified like the real thing, it is completely useless. Instead of helping with aim, it is a huge hamperment.

ya that doesnt bother me that much cuz i never use scopes,sights,reddots. and if i wanted to i already have a way of integrating a rail on the gun. just mainly wondering about the feel and durablility

The only way to intergrate the rails, is to drill holes into it, is to drill holes into the thing. As for adding scopes? good luck, the handle and recever is all one peice. You'd have to add a rail to the handle, but that can cause a problem, as there is a curve to it, so a level rail is gonna be hard to pull off.

they did cancel the XM8, becuase they tested it with the 101st I beleive, and when they fired it for long periods, the gun would heat the bolt and breach too much, that it melted and fused. Of coarse, this is what I've heard. I'm looking forward to the SCAR ( I beleive ) HK weapon....

They're cheap, ugly, squeeky, scope sucks, and we have plenty in stock of all different colors.

i ahve a really good way of putting a rail on. so when i get the money ill be in to pick up a black one. oh ad i hope they redo the real steel xm8 and make it not heat as much. cuz i really like the looks of that gun. im sure it has some potential

if the / a company makes variants of the kit, the same idea as Guarder, such as the carbine verson, the long foregrip w/ bipod, comes with a working red dot scope, and allows for rail attachments, then I might be interested, right now, I have better thing to spend my money on truthfuly.

ya ill be buying a accuracy barrel for my g36 soon too. cuz right now its stock. but i noticed at the nam i was doing just fine without any upgrades. but a TB would really make it nice. maybe a silent piston head.idk. but i REALLY want an XM8. so i can stand out and no1 has to ask me who i am on the forums(lol thats not the real reason haha)

hey, a cheap(er) way to build an XM8 is by buying an LPEG one and dropping a TM version 3 gearbox in and a tightbore and hopup.

ya but i heard the lpeg bodies were hella weak and suck. id rather just get the GWS. $230 isnt too much of a small fortune for me. anyways, i have a job so its not very hard for me to get the money
