sooo......i just found out that u can shoot smoke bombs out of a grenade launcher........sooo.....does sacair allow smokebomb type things???? i think it would be cool at op. omega!!!
Jul 5, 2006 1:25am
ya i catually saw a few of those go off in front of me at Op. Rokking thunder. but they didnt do much cuz they were plain smoke bombs, my idea is to duct tape like 4 or 5 together and connect the fuses so it actually gives cover and such

hhmmm.....well......is ur house on the way to nam??? i would be coming from elverta.........so idk. i think the mercs would be cooler anyways......plus i only have bdu bottoms, and a black t. so ya.......i mite just have to go out and buy more smokebombs.

This sounds interesting, but it might be illegal. At nam, it may be illegal to use pyros because of fire hazard, and it is summer, when all the grass is dry and yellow. Can anyone say "wildfire"?
Jul 5, 2006 1:44am
ya....that mite b a problem.

well someone used a smoke bomb at Operation rolling thunder and it didnt seem to be a problem. just have to make sure to be smart with it and not throw it into a bush.

yeah, but almost all of the terrain at nam is covered in foliage. The yellow grass in the fields is especially flammable. I dont know exactly how much of a fire hazard smoke bombs are, but just look at them. They have a fuse. My point?

just cut the fuses short is ur gunna throw them......or wait till the are are out when you shoot them

I take it none of you ever noticed the 2" flame that spits out of them after the smoke ends?

if i see any one using smoke bombs at NAM or the HILL i will personally see how far my 12 foot boot can fit up your ass, at CQB u can still use them but BE CAREFULL.

Don't know if you guys allow smoke if it's "safe" or not, but West Marine stocks PinPoint Flares, they're a hand-held internal combustion 1-minute smoke stick. You twist the end, and it ignites inside itself- blowing orange safety smoke out the other end. I still wouldn't drop it on the ground, but it may be a good screen if a grunt strikes it and "dead" man holds it.
Every day above ground is a good day.

well they got those cold smoke bombs but they do like 72,000 cubic feet of smoke and i dont think you can cuz of officails might think its a fire, but you could use those flashing ones that are hecka brght say light to that are taped and throw, can anyone say makeshift flashbang
Jul 5, 2006 4:43am
and i forgot if the cdf fire towers see the smoke (which they will) u can bet your ass you will have 5 engines a pissed off batalion chief and couple of planes all coming to you generall location is about, id say....5 minutes lol.

Let's see here....a burning fuse, whick or ignited substance stuck inside a hollow tube that expels gas propellant which is either propane based or refrigerant based. Both of which are highly combustable material.

our generall rule about fires during this time of the year when its 120 with 0% humidity a farting squirell can start a fire, if i saw that guy whoever it was using the smoke bombs i woljd have taught him a thing or too about what its like to get reamed by jew (its not fun), but ya basiclly anything with smoke=bad. But hey if someone kill himself in a fire that he started i aint gona shed a tear, hell i'll even submit it tot he darwin awards. :D
