Star M249- long term durability

Jul 8, 2006 1:52am
I've searched- hows everyones holding up? Sounds like there are a couple of sacair guys who have one... wondering if they are fairly reliable. Seem like a good bang for the buck, just don't want to dump money into one for repairs...

i dont have one, but from watching and hearing people with them, i know for a fact that they are cool little things to have, but your going to have to buy a lot of pistons...ive seen people go through 2-3 pistons in one day...which gets really costly after a while.

well i had one built buy freq88, but mine had the pgc v3 gear box in it, the durability was dam good, the plastic gear box.... get a metal one, well worth the money. But 2-3 pistons a day, holy hell Joe what did they have int here an m150 lol, i went through 1 piston every 12,000 rnds, i used stock tm pistons cause they are cheap, i had the 7mm oiless bushing in my gear box so the gears were in graet shape agter how ever many rounds i put through it including the runds freqq 88 put through it. Sorry if my spelling sucks i have some beer in the last hour.
