For all you car guys and girls
Wassup guys,

An rx7? By the wording of your post I can only assume you are talking about legal, off the road, on a drag strip, strait line racing. You might want to choose a car with a little more power potential and reliability out of the box. Unless of course you have a buttload of cash to throw at it.

Yes sirr..thats were I'll be doing all my "racing"..at the track...,but I want it to be a daily driven car,also.

If you have a lot of money and don't plan on driving it much, (ie, you don't mind it spending 3/4 of it's time in the shop) then a 3rd gen is great. As for street legal, that may limit you a bit, otherwise a single turbo setup, and a few bolt-ons will get you some very decent power. Maybe LS1 swap???
If you want all out power and want to stay legal buy a domestic. Any v8 mustang or camaro/vette and slap on a kenne bell. More power than you will know what to do with and 50 state legal. OR buy an import, blow an engine or 2, and be targeted by every member of law enforcement out there.

From the racing gurus at my work, best bet is to buy a RX-7 thats already worked on, and has some mods already. It'll save you cash and time just to get it already started. just my $.02. I'm a honda/Nissian kinda guy.....
look... if u really want more pwoer and still drive it on the street buy a AUDI A4/S4 not a rx7 but if u need real help from ppl that race pm me and ill give u suome ### of some ppl i use to race with :twisted: :twisted:

Is the RX-7 really that bad>?
[quote="phonografic
you understand its rotary powered right? cool in theory...but not fun to keep seals and bearings in.

better yet just buy a shifter kart. they're faster than anything you'll be able to drive on the street.

karts can be alot of fun. If your new and serious about learning how to drive I would say go for an HPV class. Shifters teach new drivers a lot of bad habbits.
We're dealing with a drag racer here guys. These people cant be reasoned with.
