tightbore barrel
i have a m15a4 tac carbine.I can hit a can within 3 shots at 45 feet. How much will a tightbore barrel improve my accuracy?
im not sure if you guys normally dont respond to topics, but i really need to know.$55 dollars is at stake
You know alot of other stuff comes inot play, like the hopup used, what kind of bb's you are using. So getting a tight bore can help but you can look at other stuff too. I say save the cash, use it for gas money to go to games.

yes erik that sounds like a good idea for most cases, but...it sounds like hes getting 4in. groupings at 45ft. that just dosent sound right to me...
well that awnsers my ?'s. i cant really think of anything that might help besides a tightbore......

Dude it is a bb gun. put the bad boy on full auto and move it a little side to side and you will hit everything, that is why I only run high caps, 300-450 bb's one kill, so I carry 10 of them.

i have alot of guns and the one i use all the time does not have one,and i have very tight groups, in my spr, umg, and 1 of my m4s i do and they also have tight groups. if i was u i would change ur hop up to a systema and dont forget the bucking. and remember they are just bb guns.
there is no victory with out loss!!

i figure that since i spent $400 bucks on my m4 plus battery and charger, why not spent an extra $55 to greatly imporve accuracy?
A tightbore will probably give you more consistency (not accuracy) than anything else. You might be able to hit the same area more often instead of creating tighter (more accurate) groupings. So instead of 3 BBs, it might be 4 or 6 more. External variations as other have said have more effect on the BBs.

I can't say the "twice more accurate" estimate is true or not since I have not done any formal testing myself.
I don't know about twice the accuracy. Accuracy depends on a lot of things, windage, your ability to shoot consistantly, etc.
you better worry. i thought the same thing a year ago. now i'm looking back and forth between my guns, car insurance cost, guns, car insurance cost....
I'm currently getting 300fps with .20s and 275 with .25s. It's a surprise to myself as it being so low, but I'm curious if installing the Big Out Sector gear chip may have anything to do with it since the nozzle placement seems to be different.
i have a tightbore in my gun, im shootin around 370 with the tightbore and .2's. with a tightbore, you will not want to use .2's in it, just because the whole "tightbore gives you more accuracy" craze dies out half flight in mid air with .2's.i use .23's or .25's just becauce you get a little bit longer of range. it wont help your accuracy as much as range as i have heard from other people.

yea by accuracy i meant tighter groupings and accuracy at longer ranges. So i think i will get that barrel
I thought about it during class and I think it has a lot more to do with the "rifling" in the TK barrels and the drop in FPS is to be expected. This outcome would have nothing to do with the Big-Out sector chip.

hmm, that is strange. I dont think an SP 90 spring should be that low, nor that a TK barrel should reduce fps. As you mentioned, my bet would be the sector chip
Its shooting 310 with .25s now. It was the nozzle
yeah, I had a similar problem with my VN.
