I was just stating that its fully available to ship not meaning it wasn't available for pre-oder, sorry for the confusion...
Jul 14, 2006 6:13am
no confusion its just most of us who have been waiting for it already know that lol

any speculations on the new version gearbox? reinforced maybe? I know it has the burst, but what else would they change? Shape?

Supposedly the mags are flat-toped, meaning regular m16 mags wont work in them. Big let down for me. :(

ugh, that sux. someone on arnies brought up the idea that maybe Tm will being to install the rachetting burst into M16A2s and the like. I wonder if the Ver. 2 and 8 will be compatible.

^Hope so. Hop chamber will of course be different, lol. But mech burst would get them some profit if they could market it to the m16 crowd.

or the MP5 crowd, with their MP5J (it has the non-functional 3-shot-burst mode), would make a sizable profit as the AR and the MP5 series are two of their biggest sellers.

I want to get a type 89 and get it modified for full auto as well as retaining the features of semi-auto, and burst firing modes....

I thunked it had semi, burst, and full? Am I mistaken?

if the version 2 and 8 were compatible why would they design the 8?
Jul 14, 2006 5:36pm
Maybe they wanted a reinforced version. Also, the reason for the new mechbox is because the burst feature is built into the shell.

Marui has stated that the mags are interchangeable. The reason why the Type 89 mags look a bit different is because Marui has tweeked the mags so all the bb's are fed. Meaning when you pull out the mag there will be zero bb's left.
