Specialized bikes?

Does anyone know of a good bike, i was looking for an all around good hardtail bike and I was checking out the Specialized Hardrock Comp disc it's about 600 bux new MSRP, does anyone know here if its good at all or should i maybe find another bike? or maybe they could suggest another bike around that price range that is a hardtail.....

youll be happy if you stick with anything specialized. i personally want the stumpjumper fsr, but its like $2,500

speacialized is a fine brand, but isn't usually the best bang for your buck. the key thing (unless you have a ton of experience) is to ride a bunch of different bikes and see which one has the features you're looking for and feels the best.

Try the Giant Yukon fully loaded. I was in the market last year and I narrowed it down between the Specialized Hardrock and the Giant Yukon. Ended up going with the Yukon. Disk brakes and everything. It's like $100 cheaper too. Got mine from Alameda Bicycle.

Thanks Farkle i will keep that in mind, time to look at another bike site.
