Bleh. Silent headset = massive waste of money. They lower fps and they don't reduce piston slap in any way, shape, or form. The problem is that you have one large surface striking another large surface, which is what produces the snapping sound.

ugh what a mess, total replacement there, any bit of that gunk on anything would just likely ruin any new parts you put in. Did the whole thing go in the trash or did you actualy repair any part of that? I would be ok with shooting it with a shotgun, or maybe put an m80 inside it... anything just kill it quick!

What did you use to make the dimples in the piston? Just curious I may do it to mine.

I used a small drill bit in a dremel tool. I drilled it in just far enough so that I stopped right past the point on the bit where it stops tapering.
