is it possible to get 500fps in an aeg? If so what kind of upgrades would i have to do? I know i would have to disablle the full auto to keep using it at sac air events. Is there anything else i would have to do?

systema high torque motor and high torque gears. Those are the main things other than the spring. All the little things in there such as what kind of piston to use, piston head, etc. i have no idea.

I would highly recommend NOT using a Systema TU or even STU motor. The torque they produce is almost nil compared to an EG1000.

My classic army is supposed to have a high torque motor. Is it not enough to handle that fps?

If you succeed in doing this, I hope you dont bring your gun to any sacair games. :shock:

Your CA motor will burn out. Low quality motors.

Here is a tip!! Don't upgrade your Ca to shoot 500fps. You'll break it!! Don't waste the money.

looks like im better of buying a gun meant to perform as a sniper weapon. Thanks for all the advise.

Ya for along time Spence ran with a g3 sg1 sniper running close to 480 fps i think, correct me if im wrong Specne.

My SVD ran 500 fps for 3 years without breaking.

If you have a TM it shouldn't take much. I know a guy thats pushing about 495-500fps on an m14. All he has are metal bushings and upgraded spring.

just get a spring sniper, and if your soooooooo set on getting an aeg get a psg1, but i'd suggest something such as an maruzen aps2 or type96 and for gas rifles tanakas cuz of the free floating barrels.

i know a fried that just loves the PSG-1 he said he still would be in airsoft if he didnt sell it, the reason he sold it was a small electric problem that was an easy fix.

I am curious.... Is it semi only being used as a sniper rifle, or is he flying under the radar with a hot gun?

Yeah, the newer games this year are more focussed on scenarios (which havent really gone off that smoothly from the ones Ive been to) rather than the rules. Back when I first joined, Neouser would have everyone gather round and explain the rules and safety procedures, then would chrono and tag ppl's guns. And then we would just go and play a few random games like "Ambush" or CTF, not a long scenario that doesnt even work and is closed-ended.

I know im new but i believe it to be 400fps for full auto capable aeg's.

Any SINGLE SHOT "sniper rifle" whether it is bolt-action, or AEG (with the FULL AUTO/BURST capability fully disabled) has a 500 fps limit.
