Tactics scenario.
Erins post and the people who have placed their ideas on this post have confirmed that we all learn things every day...no matter how much you know or how much you have experienced...whether in real life or in training. Good stuff, guys...and I'm glad to see that their are always things to learn.

id say knock out the western facing wall next to the bathroom with an APC/ramming device. Have flashbangs thrown through the windows.
sure your idea would end up with the terrorists dead deaballs or whoever but if a damn wall is ripped off, hostages will get shot. lol............. this is not the damn movie swat, we dont have molly the wall ripper thing

unless you drive the APC through the building(which can kill hostages) its going to have to back out, taking time to let the team slip by.

Knock down the western wall? How, it's right next to a house... Going to knock down the nextdoor neighbors place first? Same with the North and east walls.
Hmm sounds like the hostage takers are either former PD or Military. Any clue if they are on drugs though?
That would be hard to tell even with reliable witnesses. Though since they all managed to leave the vehicle and get inside and subdue the occupants before any of the hostages could even put up a defense I would say they are sober.
Suppressed guns with subsonic ammo vs guys with kevlar and maybe plates?
An easier way to locate the suspects and hostages would be a heartbeat sensor then a snake camera to see where the tangoes are before deploying the team. Op-Subterfuge's idea of getting the blueprints is also a good idea to see if there are any other ways of entering the building unnoticed.
A cop on a firearms forum I frequent was shot at by a robber and the officers partner opened up on the guy with a P90. The biggest reaction the guy made while running away was screaming at the cop to, "Stop shooting me with that thing!"
5.7mm designed as an armor-piercing round. And yes, it does take +15 rounds to kill someone because of the size of the round...
