Airsoft Dangerous?
First of let me say that I think that airsoft isn't very dangerous. The purpos of me posting this topic is to ask, if the game is played correctly, are there many ways to get injured. I know that if you don't have your glasses/gogles on you cant be shot in the eye or in the ear if you don't have a mask on, but I'm talking about any other ways that maube aren't so obvious. Thanks in advance for any input.
i guess from getting shot too close and having skin penetration but that wont kill you... only other real risk is breaking yourself falling or something
the main danger concern of most airsoft is getting thier teeth shot out. other than that, airsoft is pretty safe if you play by the rules.
Or falling off a roof, or down a wall from a bad rope entry, smacking your head on a low hanging "anything" and tripping and breaking a leg. Poison oak/ivy, rattlesnakes/scopions/black widows/mountain lions/bears/pot farmers and meth addicts with wild dogs........ Ya know, I think I will bring my 870 to the games from now on.
the only danger in airsoft are stupid players or those with little or no common sense. every single player that attends a sacairsoft game has some form of eye protection and i have never in my life heard of someone getting shot in the ear.

Well I am hear to say that I have been shot on the ear, but not inside of the ear as in the ear drum. But it could happen and I could hit the lottery. The thing is that you have to be safe and have trigger control and not blast everything when you come around a corner or go over a hill. Could a bb kill you? who knows ,all I know is that I play with peeps that are safe and that I trust.

ANYTHING is dangerous when it comes down to it. Statically, driving to the supermarket is more dangerous than swimming in the open Ocean--for those afraid of sharks.
Every day above ground is a good day.
its only dangerous if ur stupid...
I've been shot in the tooth from 15 ft (on accident) with a.25 bb from a gun with an M120 and my tooth was/is fine. It was sore for the rest of the day but un cracked
okay BB-shootings...I had a GF in college, who's brother shot me in the mouth with a regular BB gun. Went through my lip, broke my tooth, and bounced BACK into my lip. Where it got lodged.

Any sport is dangerous the only thing that makes some sports more safe then others is how the people playing them behave.....golf for instance if i intentionally aim directly at a person is that not dangerous. Generally what makes a sport dangerous is peoples stupidity. I'd be willing to bet 95 percent of all bad injuries occur from someones stupidity. I'll put it simply you and only you determine what is "to dangerous" if you deem a sport to dangerous don't play it simple as that... What was the point of this topic again besides to repeat an endless debate that has happened several times before.
eh, I can understand your concern for safety but come on! man up. if you're gonna be airsofting you'll have to be tougher than that. We're shooting bb's at high velocities at eachother. Just wear eye protection, dont do anything stupid, and stay away from poison oak.
why does this sound like "mom related question" I sware we nee to set up a section for addressing the "mom/girlfriend/ (and to be fair) boyfrined issue"
How many ways can a bb hit you? no matter where u get hit your still gonna get hurt and then shake it off.

+1 ya, I been playing this game long enough to see shit happen, but you know what in life shit happens. Just do you best to be safe and have fun, if you never wanted to get hurt then you would have any kind of fun/possably of getting laid :P
what i meant by man up was that we're firing bb's at eachother. I mean besides doing something stupid. . . just keep your mouth shut and wear good eye protection. If you get shot. . . deal with it. I've been hit in some bad places, including the ear and you get over it. I didnt mean to make him look like a pussy.
its ok to be scard dude, here, you need a hug big guy. huh, you want a soooooooddddddddaaaaa? huh? :P
OMG! Today all day, when fenix and I were golfing. . . we were sayin that. :D

Hey guys, let's not bash this. Like was said before, this is probably a "mom" question, and there's a good reason why it's asked. Sure, airsoft is very "safe" by most sport standards--the most dangerous thing is pulling a muscle, or falling and breaking something...but let's just keep it all in perspective.
Every day above ground is a good day.
Ok. Ok. Sorry about the thread jacking
here's what ya need to do. stay away from poison oak, dont climb anything to high, never shoot when someone says blind man, or dont ever take off your goggles, dont do anything stupid and follow rules. You could fall. . .thats prolly the worst that would happen.
I dont think airsoft is dangerous.
well how safe can it be we shoot each other with toy guns, now the guns themselves may not be all that dangerous but look at what we do while we play.
 Airsoft IS NOT Dangerous ,EVERYDAY LIFE IS Dangerous I HAVE DONE ALOT OF STUFF IN MY LIFE AND I CAN TELL U Airsoft IS NOT, JUST DONT B A FIN RETARD AND FUCK AROUND WITH THE GUNS IN PUBLIC
there is no victory with out loss!!
I agree with everyone's comments but one thing I want to add is for face protection or teeth protection since goggles arent enough, there are also full mask you can get which covers your entire face to avoid getting your teeth crack. Other than that, I really dont think if the sport is dangerous at all. I remember last month's game at Ford Ord where someone got shot in the face and broke his goggles/safety glasses. Although they were ballistic glasses and the shooter was very close, the guy didnt suffer any injury. He just had to get new goggles! My point is, if you follow the rules they are there for everyone's safety. Have fun and enjoy the sport.

Probably the easiest way to die/get hurt playing airsoft is to play it around cops.
