Anyone know the easiest way to get your wife or girlfriend to support you or maybe even join you in participating in this hobby?

in my experience it is best not to push it. If they want to play then they will tell you. It is cool to ask but don't push. I ask if they want to go out back and maybe shoot at each other with pistols, let them win. Good luck!

[quote="poser"]Have to honestly say, I've never had a problem with this. Mainly because my girlfriend is almost as in to airsoft as much as I am. It's pretty funny, if you saw her any other day of the week you'd think she wouldn't ever touch a gun or be in to "guy" stuff. She just looks like your typical Rocklin/ Roseville suburbanite girl. Well she's into airsoft, real steel, and video games!

I bought mine a KWA G17. She's used it twice. I've found out letting them win IS smart. She likes to play, just doesn't like to lose or get shot. Good luck to the guy who's girlfriend doesn't believe in guns. Ask her what part of them she doesn't beleive in :)

I dunno, the "let them win" thing can also backfire. i did that once, and they all quit after the firsr "round" and went off hurting my pride and stuff. (they told eerybody they saw).

my daughters and "adopted" niece play, stay away, stay far far away!!!!! haha hi melis
Aug 3, 2006 11:58pm
my GF won't play...but will shoot the .45 in the house. On the other hand, my sis-in law is deadly with my revolver (real steel) but won't play airsoft. It's just compromise--if they like it, fine. And don't "let them win" it's just not smart or fair. Chances are, they'll kick ass in a few games anyway.

Hey-when did women become "females"? I mean that's what you call apes--not people. I just think it's derogatory to use that terminology, except when discussing a stiff.

I don't get to spend much time with my significant other, so when the time comes around for me to spend it with her, airsoft is the last thing on her mind, so a compromise has to be made in advance.
