PAYPAL BLOWS

Aug 5, 2006 2:20am
So i try to use PayPal today and it doesn't work. through some research i find my account has been suspended because i bought "Explosives" over the internet and used their service to pay for the item. BTW the "Explosives" i bought was AMMO!!!!!. WTF. no i have an email saying my account #s and shit can never be used for payapl again. After digging on the internet i found another website where something similar happened.

that is so lame i almost don't believe it. is there really something in their agreement that says you can't purchase "explosives" even if you bought it legally?

i think he meant that paypal suspending your account is so fucked up that he can't believe it.
Aug 5, 2006 2:30am
wait can they really suspend your account for that? i just checked their user agreement and there was nothing in there that mentioned that you couldn't use their services when making transactions regarding those products much less plastic bb's.

Try a credit card and new address, I think you be able to get back on again. Happened to me when I am selling a spring M16 A2, they shut down my Ebay and Paypal account right away and NEVER let me go back.

I generally make it a point to those who buy stuff from me to never put information in the comments/subject section - only their name handle or real name. It's unfortunate that paypal are asshats like that and lot of their rules are stupid anyway... I'm hoping that one day that google will get their payment system going someday...

eBay and PayPal (all eBay BTW) are ani-gun. Surprise-right. (/sarcasm) why I hate eBay:

An excellent argument, I fully agree, however Money-order is great unless you get stuck with some ass-hole who doesn't ship your item, you have no re-course, at least wiht PayPal (assuming they don't arrest you) when you buy something you have a 45-day window, to re-claim your money. But I email-ed one of my dad's friend's at google and he said one of the cool features of google money is the fact that you should be able to choose whether or not Google knows of your item, google will know how much money is transfered and to whom, but unless you specify it won't know exactly what the item, is. Expect google-pal by next year....

a couple years back i bought a cell phone on ebay but couldn't unlock it so i sold it on ebay. Well the guy i sold it to was in Canada (damn canucks that was my first mistake). A few days after i ship the item to him i get an email from paypal saying i recieved fraudulent funds and they were pending reversal (they were already in my bank account by then). Long story short it took them 3 months to "figure it out" and then they deducted $200 from my paypal account. So now i'im $200 in the hole and no phone, i file a grievence with paypal and ebay to try to get my $$ back and type up what happened but all the guy does is respond with "i dont know" and they close the claim and in the end i get stuck with paying paypal $200. They don't offer any protection for money transfers to people outside the USA, this may have changed in the past two years tho and i havn't had any problems since.

and...remember it's illegal to kill a person. Except when you're a major corporation. Then you have to kill LOTS of people over a long period of time. Your "punishment" fro ruining all those lives will be to have the Fed bail you out and not have to clean up the toxic slush you made.
