Reliability Upgrades- 400fps

Apr 28, 2004 5:29am
After having professionaly upgraded my gun to 400 fps by Un Company and having it fail to effectively fire less than 6 months later, I'd like to enhance its reliability.

How did it fail?

i think that they meant the tappet plate, which if you look through the mag well you should see where the bb loads. when you shoot on semi auto or full auto, you should see the nozzle, the black thing going in and out of the chamber. if you are shooting your gun and you dont see it moving in and out then you have a broken tappet and thats a good start to see why it doesnt feed right.

also you might have a busted mag like one i got from viper, dunno wht was wrong with it but i took it aparat and threw it against the wall and it works fine now

Could be a worn out tappet plate or a sticky nozzle.

it could be the tappet plate...you will feel the air coming out whether its broke or not.

I'm a pretty competent airsoft (And real steel) gunsmith myself. So is Glenn. I think Kmag is supposed to be as well.

Anyways, Shawn and Ron both do it for money as a side job, so I'm not going to do any work, for pay or for free, just out of ethics for two people I consider good friends. I just do work on my own stuff and on guns that belong to really close friends. (I can count them on both my hands.)

Ya I have ended up fixing way too many, and with my new job I dont have the extra time, so now I just work on the dozen I own and for a couple friends. I would recoment both Snoopy and Viper. They usualy charge a fair price. I have traded guns with both and found the work they did to be good.

I haven't used shawn for any work yet, because Ron lives right now the street from me. He did a great job on my M4 re-wire/downgrade and M15a4 upgrade. M15s tappet plate broke which is common, and he was at my house within 20 minutes to take the gun back and replace it.
