Yeah, I own one. I've written a review about it on this site, read it and then ask any questions you may have from there.

does that split gear box really make it much easier to swap springs and stuff?

Ah I've read some reviews inculding yours, and other then the fact it has the spring release I see nothing special, I like the CA series of Aramlites better.

I've dealt with an ICS M4, and most definatly if I was going to get an M4 I would be getting an ICS. The two piece gear box doesn't really mean much, but being able to release the spring tension and it shooting stock about the same as a CA is a nice feature. It comes stock with a metal body, a nice one, not like the CA though, the CAs are black, the ICS are grey. If ur gonna get the M16A2 version, I'd reccomend the CA, but the M4 version I'd reccomend the ICS. just my personal opinion.

Yes the split gear box does help. Also it makes it easier to replace the barrel, because when you pull the top gear box out the barrel just slides out after it.

Just another note on comparison between the CA and ICS M4 carbines. There are many features that I like better on the CA than on the ICS, but at the same time the ICS has some features that I like better than the CA. It all comes down to personal preference. Anyone who wishes to check out my ICS when at a game I have no problem with that, also Norca Army navy carries both ICS and CA guns. Right now there are no ICS carbines in stock, but they do have the tactical carbine from ICS in stock.

I wish I could, but I've been down with a bad headache all day, and haven't been able to make a dent in my paper, so I'm going to have to devote all day tomorrow to it. Hopefully I'll be there next weekend though.
