G3 vs. AK
hey, im looking to buy my first aeg at the end of the year. im trying to decide between a g3 and ak. im not looking for a traditional style ak, i saw a picture of one w/a scope and bipod, and it was one of the coolest things i've ever seen. i dont think many people have aks w/scopes; is that because you want the traditional style or because they arent effective? it'll probably come down to which one i like more, but i just want an opinion from people who use aegs.
Scopes arent too common on real steal AKs because if a soldier (in pretty much any army that uses an AK) was to snipe, he would use an SVD. In airsoft, you could put a scope on anything, its all about how you want it to look.
g3. Go for it. You love that gun.
g3 is a grat gun i have one and love but be wared teh g3 sg1 has ALOT of plastic on it, just so u know. So does the AK but not as bad as the g3. both great gun, get whatever u like more.
yeah he's talkin about the sg1. How sturdy is the bipod. It seems like it'd be wobbly.
Compared to an AKs G3s suck dong.

no, G3's have Version 2 gearbox's
Ak - V3 gearbox, plus IMO G3's are ugly. As for scopes, I had a RD on my AKB. It wasn't that it wasn't effective, I just didn't really use it. Unless I'm using a sniper rifle, I prefer irons.

well apparently people like ak's more than g3's. i think i'll set my sights on an ak, and maybe get a g3 later. thx for all the help.

Dude, lay off him. He was asking because its not all plasticky. In fact, I pointed that out to him and mentioned the CA one. Of course internally the TM is better but externally, the CA is much sturdier.

Ok, he lives right accross the street from me and i know what he meant. Here's the thing. He was stuck between the TM AK or the TM G3. People on here said that the TM G3 was very plasticky, so I mentioned to him the CA CA33E. He thought it was the G3 because it looks pretty much the same.
when did james get enough money to buy an AEG??? :shock:
