correct me is im wrong, but i dont think the gearbox in it would do a 150... maby a 110?
paintballer :(
Yeah, I was cross referencing what people have put in their Fmas from different forums, and the consensus seem to be something like a systema m100 spring. The PDI equivalent is a 120%, and I am considering going with a pdi 150% spring since it is supposed to be a kinder spring for the internals vs. an equivalent systema.

correct me if i'm wrong but PDI springs use a different scale than Systema. PDI 150 does not equal M150
Yes, that is my understanding with the rating system..of systema compared with pdi springs. ie, a systema m120= pdi 170%.

[quote]Correct.

Front what I have heard, the famas' version 1 gearbox is good for an M150.
[quote="farkle"] You sure there rich? The general consensus I've gotten is that the PDI 150% shoots 390-410fps and the PDI 170% around 420-440fps... So maybe PDI 170% = M120S

rich is correct. my Guarder SP 110 started out at 410 fps, dropped a little for about 5,000 rounds to 385, then drastically dropped to 350 (avg.). Hence the reason I will be getting a new systema spring soon.
I Used the FAMAS at the game on saturday at Nam. Very impressive to say the least. Its great range, very high rof, and ability to quickly shoulder and sight it makes for a very effective airsoft skirmisher in a woodland/open area. It chronoed at 320 fps on .20s. Seems low, but I didn't feel like it was a handicap. I outranged a lot of people that day.
