im selling my computer and i got a buyer, im very new to this and i have heard stories of things like this happen so im wondering if this is fraud or not, he wants me to take the selling amount plus shipping out then send the rest to his "kid", i played it like i didnt know what was going on, but i might just be a dumb ass and he is in the clear. here is the original message

ok i have acutally truthfully been almost tricked by afraud he said send the xbox to mykid and i will then give u the money and it wont enter ur accoutn untill im provided with a trackign #. well i found ou he has frauded over 12 people and ended up cuzing a total of 2300$ of merchandise bought from ebay loss.

unless it's a close knit community...I never send merch unless I have the cash in hand.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THAT PERSON!! It is fraud. I assume he's sending you a check. That check will either bounce or it's stolen.

By the way, you didn't already ship him the computer yet did you?

Yup, it's a big time scam. Mostly comes from Nigeria. You can especially tell if it's fraud if they offer more money and can't right correct grammar.

I've been an investigator in the private sector for ten years and like everyone says, it sounds like it is fraud. Fraud is a multi billion dollar business in this country alone. PM me if you want advise to go upon prosecuting this man. Get as much information as you can though.
