I have never shot a Tanaka rifle in the winter, and I was thinking about getting one. How does it perform in cold weather? I am trying to decide wether to buy and aeg and turn it into a sniper rifle, or buy the Tanaka. Thanks.
every gas sniper rifle out their sucks during the winter, dont pop ur shots off every second, because it will perform VERY Badly, unless u get a 6.01 barrel and a better hopup. i bought a KJW a while back, and it was ok...but no one had a tightbore for it, if i could of found one i wouldnt of sold it, but if u want, before a game put it in ur pocket or something or get a hand warmer and tigh it to the bottom of a long mag. as for AEG Sniper Rifle. i asked Andrew about if i should get one. and he said it take alot faster to break and that parts would be a bitch to get everytime.
you can pay for school but you cant buy class
+1 on handwarmers. They rock for keeping gas fed things going. I've used them for other things beside airsoft in the winter, and they will keep the air flowing! But, it doesn't come close to normal outdoor temp.
Every day above ground is a good day.
Thanks guys. I have used handwarmer in the past for my pistols, I have just never heard things about Tanaka's and the cold. I think I will hold off on the rifle until next summer, and just stick with my electric guns for now.
Well, i just traded my star m249 for a tanaka m700. I sent out the m249 today, and he sends out the m700 tomorrow. I'll le you know how good it does in the cold(as soon as it freakin cools down!)
I dont know about Elk Grove but Livermore doesnt get too many snow storms in the winter. Your talking a subtle difference in temps if you are going to be playing up there.
In close range combat, an unsuspecting melon will get the back of its melon blown off.
