bearings = NO FPS

Air58- save your cash lil bro. Don't even bother with the TB if this is your first gun, and first experience with a top-tier AEG. The stock TM running at 280 will be good for CQB, and not having 400fps will require you to become a more strategic player in field games.
Every day above ground is a good day.

+1 to everyone, but especially Sgt muller. I made the mistake of upgrading my first AEG, then I felt handicapped when I used stock guns. It was just a money trap because I don't really need those upgrades to get kills in the field. My main gun for all fields shoots around 320, but that's fine. Having a weaker gun causes one to rely more upon the brain and skills, rather than on expensive parts. Play with that gun for a while before you do anything to it. That's my 2 cents.
Hellion- I dont have a job, I can afford one primary and one primary only. Sorry to disappoint....but my priimary is my primary everywhere. Im only 14, money doesnt roll in, and if you cant tell by me willing to spend every last dime, its cus I worked my ass off dude, I made 1000 bucks in a month doing little small time jobs for neighbors, thats the richest ive ever been lol, so im trying to get a real job but at 14 its difficult, as for the gun question. Yes an m14 with 370 is my CQB weapon I guess.
in short, what these guys are saying is basicly-
Seek the Narrow Gate, for the path is broad and the gate is wide that leads to destruction.

who says you have to get an M14? why not get a more versatile gun for cheaper and then have money to spend on parts and such.

dude, the cqb feild is hardly cqb, technically cqb is under 15ft (some argue 20), in which you cant use your rifle in sacair (understandably). so it would be cqb but rarely will you find one team remaining in a building while another tries to clear it, normally the invading team is to chicken to enter for lack of tactics or the other just splits. alot of the fighting is in the hills, and i have a G&G M14 and of course it was just fine for that whole game. but if you are gonna clear a building you need and smg or a good pistol, m14's just to long. my 2 cents

thanks ryandmiller. Hellion. Im not bent on getting an M14, I kinda want a CA SLR steel version ak-47. I think those are really tight too. M14 is cool too though but im not obsessed, still thinking.

you guys should rephrase it and say that the M14 is not suited to close quarter manuevering. Remember the main function of the M14 is as a battle rifle, regardless of how "hot" one has it shooting, it's hard to manuever with and transitioning to secondary or weak side stance.

just comparing how it would perform with the recent CQB games. of course it will out-perform alomost any AEG outdoors.

Yes you guys are right i should clairified alot. The M14 isnt good for real cqb, but does fine at the feild if the tarps arent up. i would recomened getting something like an AK, M4, or M14 or any rifle really and have an smg for cqb.
