grrrrreat! At least if (between you and me) there are some experienced alpinists in the group, we can have some good fun. Maybe a nice III/5.3 up Mt. Russel-Carillon saddle for a "training weekend" sometime. It'd be harder in hobnails than in crampons! And I guess I'd be open to cheating a bit--washing the WW2 gear in a Gore-tex wash-in stuff. It's just safer that way--gear gets very wet as you know.

I've got some of our team members and friends interested in another Shasta trip, but I'm not sure yet, when or if we will have the time to do it.
