Get rid of it. Just treat your gun like a real firearm and you wont have any problems.

i take em off but i keep them in the case i carry the weapon around in. i should probably transport them with the red tips on but i don't.
like Andrew said treat it like a REAL gun, keep in a case, dont leave a mag in it while u transport, and dont wave it around in puplic.

if you are really concerned with a black tip, buy one of those red barrel plugs that go over the flash hider.
I only put it on when I'm driving to and from games, driving to AEX, or basically during transportation. And while I transport it I always make sure the mags are in a seperate compartment of the bag, or a different bag entirely.
