Ok, im trying to descide between the G&G GR-16, and the TM SR-16........i know TM's have the better reputation for internals......but how are the stock G&G internals?? cuz i really like both........but i want the sacarian opinion.
my experince with G&G is less than good. Freinds of mine that have owned them hated them, within 3 months the bucking failed, the switch had gone bad, a gear would blow up after 200 shots, stuff like that. TMs dont die, they are like usefull cockroaches, lol.
i have one with upgraded spring and metal body and all and i love it. never gives me any problems at all. its TM what more do you need to say.
look at the poll results, should be obvious.
"Guns don't kill people. People kill people."
I've had a stock SR-16 for about a year now, havn't upgraded because a local place has a low FPS limit. I have never had a single problem with it.
TM all the way. The TM Sr-16 is so underrated- It was my first AEG, its about 4 years old, has tens of thousands of bbs through it, and I never had to do anything to it except a ziptied reciever for some busted tabs. Because some kid dropped it while running with the gun at CQB lol. Now it has high speed systema gears and a guarder 90 spring and tightbore- with no other upgrades, and its super reliable and will probably last a long, long time...
In Pace Requiescat.
I have a G&G GR16-R5. I never had any problems on mine. I only upgraded the spring plus I added a 203. Ive had it for about six months now probably shot 40k plus through it. easily. We play every Tuesday and every month at Fort Ord. I always hear from a lot of people that G&Gs have all these internal problems. The R5 is a good buy with the foregrip and rail ras system not to mention it comes with a metal body receiver.
