think about it. it would just be an ak47 with a conversion kit on it. if you would like it to be a good sniper rifle, you would need a good amount of upgrading on the gearbox/hopup/etc. to get it to shoot around 500 fps. at least that's my take on it.

An AK47 with a Guarder Dragunov kit slapped on it isn't actually a Dragunov at all...

well if you would go look in the history of the gragunov, it looks more like an ak. and also the real ak is semi auto unlike the other already made dragunovs so the ak with the kit on it is more realalistic to the real svd

u CAN make an AEG shot 500 fine, but its gona cost u ALOT i dont feel its worth it, as CPairsofter said its not gona be as good as a bolt action, things will break, stay with your aps2 and work out.

i had the same thoughts u have, make an AEG into a sniper rifle, and semi auto sounded really good, but Andrew convinced me that a AEG sniper rifle is really unreliable, just because ur pumping so many rounds through it, and things will break, just because theirs so many parts running at the same time taking alot of damage. blot action sniper rifles, are very simple, and will last alot longer, and give u more range, and will also make u feel like a sniper a little more, just take my advice on ur APS2 thread

yes but you dont understand thats not authintic its spring not semi automatic like the real dragunov so thats why im building it from an ak

if he's having a tough time pulling the bolt back on an aps2 what makes you think he'll have it easier with the BA svd?

i think were the charging handle is placed on the SVD would make it easier than the APS2. it is his decision though.

Oh, I wasnt aware that you had trouble charging your APS. Yes as stated before do what you want.

My take on it- the point of diminishing returns on an AEG is about 420 fps. We are shooting lightweight bbs at a velocity where they start to become unstable. An AEG requires a lot of moving parts to make that bb move. Going to a higher weight, larger size (8mm) helps, but they are still only plastic bbs.
