sorbo pads and pinion gears

Where can I find Sorbo pads? In chico, like home depot? And when I go to shim my GB I'm going to shim to the bevel and pinion but I'm going to get a new motor in a month, are all pinions the same or will I have to reshim for a new heigth with the new motor?

Like diameter wise, after I adjust the heigth will the pinion make the same amount of contact and meshing?
