Load out decision help

Oct 1, 2006 7:42pm
I'm going to state right up front that I am the newest of n00bs. I have never been to a real airsoft event. Playing 'Last Man Standing' with a friend in his back yard, and some online reading is the sum total of my airsoft experience. I'm sure I will have many questions.

I personally have never had problems importing from HK. I've only ordered one gun from HK though, an MP7. However, my trademarks were fully intact due to Redwolf Airsoft covering them up with some kind of tape. I'm not sure if trades on the CA G36 would be left intact (are there even any "real" trades present?) by customs.

I agree, if you plan on ordering from Hong Kong, redwolfairsoft.com is a very good option. Their shipping is a little steep, but it tends to balance out because thier stock prices are lower.

The STAR Mids are pretty good. They were the first G36 mids out on the market, so I don't know if they are up to par with everything else. They work for me, and that is all I can ask.

Very good to hear that the star mags will work.

My recommendation is don't get a "Load Out" I have played airsoft for the past 3 years with a Tshirt and nice guns.

Wow, you guys are really amazing. Answers for every question in just minutes. I'll be checking out the web sites FaRKle! mentioned, and should be able to make it down to Oakland this week sometime.
Ok,. Maybe I don't need to go for a $300 tac vest. Would you agree that I at least need to have some pouches to put spare mags in?
I read your review. your post said it held 5 mags but the review only said 4. I also really would like to have a hydration system.

You have unlimited options here. There are hundreds of companies that make vests and rigs of all types.

It holds 4 magazines, but you'll have one magazine chambered...

I think I have a much better idea what I need to get now. TM for the main gun. I'll just go cheap for the vest. Hopefully by the time it falls apart I'll have seen one of you wearing something I like better. I'm sure there will be more questions later. For now I think it's time to buy some toys. :D

welcome to airsoft welcome to debt problems, welcome to sleeping alot after a game, lol stivck with TM thats all i use. I have had CA guns but they needed work EXCEPT for my stock CA 36c which i NEVER had switch burnout problem and i put 30,000 rnds through, it but i know they do burn out with no fuse. U dont really need gear. U can get a dump pouch for 25$ that connects to your belt and it will hold i think 6 g36c mags. But if your like most of us you will soon be a gear whore and broke, ver very broke.

the cool thing about having good gear is you can wear em around the house while watching will & grace!
