Torque up or Super Torque up...
So after upgrading my MG36 to a PDI 150%, and Systema bearing bushings I've noticed my battery life has been significantly shortened (9.6v 600mAH NiCd). I was planning from the beginning on getting a set of high speed gears, but now that I've read some more about gears, it seems like they would only drain my battery faster and cause more stress on my motor.
"If today is a good day to die, then how bad could it be to live today?"
This may just be me, but why not buy a bigger battery?

How about my input :P

I think the only battery the star grip can hold is that wierd nunchuck type one that looks like 2 stick batteries strung together. as for upgrades, dont get that gay full stock. drop the spring down to an m100 or equivalent, then do a tightbore, and cylinder/piston upgrades to get the most fps out of your spring.

oh, i thought you were pushing a PDI150 with a totaly stock gun. in that case i would look into a nice lipoly. measure out some dimensions so you can get one that will fit right and fill up as much room as possible. a lot of people have huge handuards with tiny batteries in them. get a nice long flat pack that will fill most of your handguard.
Edited.

Its a 600mah battery, is it realistic to expect much life out of it?
rap1171: "i need to call UPS and tell them to hurray the hell up"
+1 your gona get a whole lot o batt life with a pd1 150 sense you have a MG36 switch to high speed gears, i dont think the batt life will change alot u will get more shot out of it cause of the higher rof but the last time with the bigger spring will for the most part be the same (i think not sure) i saw go high speed gears, and lipol batt
Your battery is whats holding you back..plain and simple. You will not get extended battery life from gears...nor will it relieve any stress from the motor. Torque up gears are a stronger alternative to stock gears in order to handle more stress with larger springs without failure. If you want to relieve stress from the motor re-shim the gearbox to efficientcy. Your best bet is to upgrade your AEG in a manner to accept a larger battery. Adding gears for teh purpose they are intended is fine but doing so in order to extend battery life is a waste of money...
You just got killed by a Daewoo Lanos...How You like me now?

well then your need a bigger batt, id say switch to the rear stock screw realism and go for more power on the field, or u can go LIPOL those are always fun.
no, dont get the full stock. it looks gay, it feels gay, and it throws off the weight in your gun. get a lipoly or some sort of battery sling.
Technically the full stock isn't unrealistic. The Polish put it on the G36KV, which was soon after discontinued (probably for being so ugly).
