I dont know much about lenses except ANSI rated is good to stop BBs from lodging in my eyeballs, but I used to always wear clear lenses because shadows with tint sucks. But I had to use some yellow ones a few weeks ago and it seemed to acually make my vision a bit better(i dont have exact 20/20 so my vision can be improved) and I just seemed to be able to see a little bit better?
It has a lot to do with contrast and enhancing certain colors in the environment. For example, it may make dark/grey objects "pop" out more while maintaing the lightness of the background stimuli.
it does help in some instances, but i wear yelloish/ orangish tinted lenses, and it does make it harder to see people in woodland cammo in a forest setting. they tend to blend in even better.
I notice more what d80 was saying, darker colors seem to sort of pop out more. woodland seems about same to spot for me. I like it more than clear basically
Another example, they're great for target shooting and skeet shooting. Brings out the dark center of the paper targets and brightens up the clay.
its like skiing/snowboarding on bright days yellows good to bring out any shadowing and depth(to see bumps)
Were supposed to be able to see what were shooting at?
i noticed that it does make the bb's stand out a lil better, and it helps me to spot commies
