What happened to the whole upstart WWII airsoft thing that was going on? The first game didn't happen, and now it's...dead...?

another friend and I are tossing around the idea of getting a group who like to WW2- (We'd like to have both US and German so we have people to shoot at.) I'm starting to put together both a 10th Mtn Div and 9th Gebrigs uniform so I can play either side.
Every day above ground is a good day.

There is not enough interest in it yet. but on the bright side it is slowly building ......as far as I know my 4 man 9th SS unit is the only outfitted ww2 airsoft unit in norcal... m-36 wools, oak A smocks, PGC GB'd MP-40, MG-42 AEG, x2 98Ks we are ready to fight as soon as you guys have your shit ready. I am willing to put in alot of effort if a few more people want to setup and help run games but I have too many expensive time consuming hobbys to keep pushing the ww2 singlehandedly

Ya, though for a war that took place over 60 years ago and with less and less surviving vets around Its amazing how popular WWII stuff is. I guess its cuz it was the last "Good War".

Im really interested too, I think it would be awesome to reanact some pacific battles or something, I would love that, Cause my brother has a whole U.S army uniform I could use, and im gonna get a Tokyo Marui AEG Thompson, and that would be awesome to reanact!!!

Not enough interest in buying the correct gear, and uniforms. Crap man most airsofters have know idea what an "impression" let alone starting a "unit" to portray a specfic time period.

Since most don't have the full clothing /gear what if it's an airsoft game but WWII gun is the only thing required. I like the idea because then I could play. (o:

can't do a pacific theatre impression until someone starts making Japanese WWII airsoft rifles. If I ever get into flying RC airplanes, I'll offer to fly some replica airplanes over the game :P

If the statement was "WWII reenacting" that's one thing. In my opinion "WWII Airsoft" is another or better stated, could be another. This is an opinion only. I also like men. (o:
