Good to hear hat you are on your way. You will do well. The only advice I can give is that you have to be mentally ready for all of it. I know you have done crew so you have seen for yourself guys that may not be as physically fit as thier counterparts but they pushed themselves so hard that they had to be helped out of the shell. These are the kind of guys that succeed. I can remeber rowing so hard that all saw was a small black dot in front of me complete tunnle vision form lack of oxygen. From the various books I have read on the BUD's, Delta,Rangers, etc is that the guys that make are the ones that are mentally tougher than thier counterparts. Your body can do things that you would not believe humanly possible but guys in these special units do it all the time. Yeah they are in the same shape as world class athletes but to get their they had to be mentally tough. All I am saying is that no matter what they throw at you, know that you can do it, why because some poor sob before you did it allready so why can't you? It may hurt and you may get hurt but in the end you will be the best. Let me know if there is anything I can get you Erikthemad2000@yahoo.com or 530 713-0599

He's going to boot camp not jail why in the hell does he need to keep his cornhole safe? Not to mention there's a don't ask don't tell policy. But if Dave needs to worry don't forget to bend at the knees. Anyhow, kick off your boot camp experience by watching good 'ol classics like Stripes and In the Army.

i just looked at my army contract - you ship out to georgia and go into processing(shots, paperwork, med exams) and wait for all the recruits to meet up - atleast from what i understand, takes about a week then you go into the real stereotype yelling in your face training. My contract says I start the actual yelling in your face training nov. 10, any of you remember what that is? my b-day haha "happy birthday private standish get on your fuckin face - push up time"
