mm, if your spending that much on such a good graphs card. i'd reccommend you getting the core 2 duo 6600. it has a larger cashe and considerably faster. trust me, i have the x6800 extreme. my friend has both the 6300 and 6600. and the 6600 is the best bang for the buck. so thats what i'd recommend.

im really not happy in the care 2 Duo's at all. I have a Pent. 4 Ht, and it runs way faster, and has close to the same FSB

Wouldn't it be kind of silly to pay for a high end graphics card when Direct X 10 is literally just around the corner? I think it's coming out in March or so.

i would say just wait a little bit (like everyone else) and get a card that can support directx10, and wait for vista, it will be a gamers Heaven. when Halo 2 comes out for it, all those xbox players can kiss my a$$, i dont care how long youve been playing a mouse and keyboard will always be better

I never agreed with anyone on this forums more. Thank you ryanmiller, the GHZ war is over. It honestly kicks my old HT's ass. And I had a 3.4g HT, so trust me, i know the speed. Upgrading to x6800 extreme core 2 duo, was a heaven for me, running with crossfire x1950 even better :). but soon as directx10 comes out, eh. i guess its time to upgrade computer AGAIN.

There's an ATI X1950Pro. One of the absolute best bang for the buck cards.
