you guys talk like its the easiest thing in the world for a 16 year old kid to get a job. well sorry to disapoint you but its not. I went to so many different places before finally getting hired. and the only reason i did get hired is because i knew someone who worked at the place. Jobs for 16 year old kids are taken up very quickly and the only chance you have of getting one is going to a place that opens up, like the day they put up the now hiring sign, or if you know someone who already works there.

BS. I got a job as a courtesy clerk at an Albertsons the week after I turned 16. Held that one for a little over 2 years and have never been unemployed for more than 6 weeks and thats because I was in the middle of moving.

go to mervyn's or jcpenny's, or some other retail store. they hire extra staff for the hollidays. if you impress them you might just land a full time job.
