Hi CA question
Hello I am new here! I need to know if this christmas list is any good.
TM Ak 47 spetsnaz
i like them all, but sadly have no expierence with those guns in particular. just be prepared for everyone to tell you to get a TM
isnt CA better than TM? I was told that most people would rather have a CA than a TM. But if i am wrong please correct me. And is airsoft extreme in sacramento a good place to buy the gun from?
TM Ak 47 spetsnaz
to your first question. the shoot harder and have metal bodies where as TMs do not have metal bodies, but Tms have better internals (thats what im told anyway). oh and yes AEX in sac is a great place to buy a gun.
ok thankyou! I will actually order the gun I get on their site and pick it up at the sacramento store. But like I said my parents are choosing 1 of those 3 so I dont know which it will be.

I don't think you can do in store pickups, can you? More often than not stuff on their website is priced differently and the stock does not reflect the items that are in store.
Umm I think I will get a CA anyway because I would rather have a metal body. And I think I will just order offline if I cant pick it up. And I know TM has better internals but CA has a manual in English which isnt like a big deal its just a nice thing to have.

have them replace the cylinder/cylinder head/nozzle the piston and piston head.
ok thanks for the info.

Ukau, I just heard that yesterday, when I'm able to leave the house a.o.k like and not hit everything on the way out, I was gonna do it. And it must be DANCO for #14 that exact size, or you may be hunting for a while for the correct size. When I was doing HVAC, I noticed that a #12 from one company and a #12 from another WERE TWO DIFFERENT SIZES! It wasn't a noticable size different, but when your installing a unit and you put that O-Ring on, you tell if its too small or too big by the tiniest bit...

I got to say, I've been using CA's and their TM counterparts, and in my honest opinion, there is no real difference out of the box, or after being broken in (other than power). Personally, go with what you want, if you got the money, just go for it. As like what Ronnie was saying to me after at a game after I bought my CA G36C "You knew what you wanted before you walked in, I just gave you a little nudge in that same direction." I went in wanting a CA G36C, and I was lookign at the TM version because it was cheaper, but I really wanted the CA version because it looked better (IMHO), and so I continued to buy the CA version.

Its cheaper to mod the CA gearbox for compression, efficiency, FPS then it is to put a metal barrel, metal body on the TM. After you spend the $200 on the barrel and body you still have a 290 fps AEG. You can get a FTK for the CA which will include gears, piston, piston head, cylinder head, cylinder, tappet plate, nozzle and spring for $175 and you will be set...IMO If you want to replace the switch too for $25..all you will be left with is the CA gearbox shell with its 7mm bushings and the cut off lever...That setup should even make a die hard TM guy happy :D I also like the thicker wiring with the CA AEGS.

ok The guns on the list are the CA SLR-105 And the M15A4 tactical carbine. I am not getting the gamer package. Instead I will get everything but the sling for almost the same price but better battery and charger and .23 gram excel bbs instead of .2 gram airsoft elite bbs. Thank you for all of the info

That sucks..I have worked on many CA's and have found them to be pretty decent. I have never encountered anything like you have described. Also how tight do you tighten your gearbox? I do maybe a 1/4 to a 1/2 turn after it has resistance..I have found that many people over tighten their gearboxes and have seen many TM's and CA's crack from it. I recommend instead using a little thread lock, and tightening less...I hope is gun stays together, sound like he got a lemon..

basicly what they are saying is get a TM , no internal problems for a while. and unless your using it as a bb , and are diving around on it and using it as a ladder to get up trees , then CA is not as good as a TM , hop up sucks in my experience with them , as do the pinion gears, and the switch assemblies.
