computer help!!
hey all , i just bought counter strike source , and when i start up the game , my computer restarts itself and i get a message when it starts back up (on my desktop) it says "system has just recovered from a serious error" and i clicked report , and it told me that i needed a new Nvidia driver because that was what caused it , and i cant find where to get an nvidia driver that is newer than the one i have , any other suggestions that could get me up and playing css?

it did this before and after Wow , my graphics card is an nvidia geforce 7200 , so no , it isnt a POS , i have been able to play every game i have bought on high graphic settings with no lag , so why wont CS help? hellion! your the computer dude , help me out.
Go to google type in your exact graphic car and then add "driver" and it will bring you to a website to update it.

i have the same problem with bf2 and css on one pc, if u have onboards sound, like a sound card built into the mother board, go into your bios and turn off your on boards sound card. ssee if that helps.
Could go to system config and click on your graphic card and there will be an "update driver" button.

everyone is right, you gotta update direct x to the latest, and uninstall and reinstall your graphic driver. But with nvidia its 1 driver for all cards, and this is it http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_93.71.html . THen if you have problems after that let us know.

I would start with one fix at a time. This way you know what to do next time if it happens again.
heh oops i thought when he said "it did this before and after Wow" he meant with Wow. But yeah one thing at a time, and since he says he can play other games your right DX is fine.

tried what all of you said , didnt help with cs source , but i got my condition zero up and running , if anyone is playing , i am -=venom blade=-
