good sushi places?
hey this is way off topic, but i was wondering if anyone knew some great places around the sacramento area for sushi. The girl im taking has talked about Banzai, but I have never heard of it, nor has 411. so, if anyone either knows of some great sushi places or knows where Banzai is, let me know.
Izumi's in Rocklin is really good, decent price too.

If you're ever in SF, there's this place that I go to in Daly City. Hole in the wall place but it's sooo good and insanely cheap. Three of us went in there and ordered like 30-40 pcs...I think our tab was only like 20-25 bucks.
You could ask someone there fav. sushi rest. and get several different answers. Does she like authentic/non...spicy/not spicy.

Actually Mikuni's is owned by Taro (Thats the guys name :-) )...Taro's is another one of his restaurants. Taro's is Japanese w/Thai infusion. Very similar and they share some of the same dish's as Mikuni's but they have a few items that Mikuni's doesn't offer.

One of my favorite sushi places in sac is "Sushi Cafe" right near the pocket area where you said you might be able to get to.
Mana @ Alta Arden and Fulton.

Samurai Snoopy's SuSHIT....off of stockton BLVD ;)
I don't like that much spice...so I didn't like this place because most of their dish's were spicy...But it was good sushi.

I'd say Mikuni's as one of those Monk suggested. WHO GIVES A RATS ASS HOW LOUD IT IS!?!?!?! Every girl that I've taken there has been pretty satisfied.

There are two Mikunis in Sactown. I personally really like Osaka Sushi, I have only been to one in Davis though. The Taylor role is the best sushi ever, bar none 8)
Alright Mr. smartone above..... Mikuni's by that frikkin place where most High Schools have there damn graduations at, on the corner of J St and soemthing. Its the one i think is nearest to that fool.

Cocoro in stockton is pretty good.
Shogun's in Elk Grove is quieter with better roles than Osaka in Elk Grove. It's on Laguna/Bond. :D
Seriously Chris, that place is awesome.
There's also a Mikuni's on Laguna now. If you want quieter I would go to that one or the one on Hazel. The one downtown is too much like a friggin bar/club... I hate that one.
Meet every day like a swift kick to the groin
The fact that mikuni's is loud is very annoying, especially if he is trying to mac on a fly hunny. You can't pimp with middle aged ladies screaming full blast about how cute the copy room boy is.
I'm a definate sushi snob so here are my preferred spots.
I have always acted in self defense, occasionally pre-emptive self defense.

Sushi Cafe, I've been there, that would definately be in your budget, and in your area. I'll vouch for the place, its good, its inexpensive. If you are trying to get your 'game' on, stay away from mikuni's, they have a tendancy to hire good looking guys, so says my gf, so go to Sushi Cafe, it'll ensure her eyes stay on you...
