Alright, here's the deal. I have a friend coming back from Iraq in February and I want to get him something to say thanks. At first we wanted to get him a 1911 but then we found out his unit only allows issue sidearms. Then we wanted to get him new body armor but that got nixed really fast. So I think I'm going to get him BHI's Serpa Tactical Holster.
uscav.com has those, and everything else you need.
they only make black, OD, and tan. the serpa holster alone is $35; with the dropleg platform, it's about $100. if you already have a dropleg platform, you can get a molle adaptor for $20 to mount the holster to pal webbing.
they make the holster in Black, coyote tan, foliage or olive drab
i belive you can get a drop leg serpa from lapolice gear for $80... hows he been to iraq and not able to use a sidearm? Make sure hes allowed to use non issue gear.
I got one for my m9 off lapolicegear.com (full platform/rig), I recommend them pricewise.
