MSDOS commands

Ya ok so i found good old Wing commander 2 on floppy disk all 7 of them, the files are intact and all the disks reads fine but i cant for the life of me remebr how to use MSDOS and open the files. So any help out there?

ok so i figured out the A: dir, A: Install.exe and all the shit BUT when i do the install command it says cannot continue install reason number 1

if you're running XP i think i remember reading somewhere that XP doesn't have a DOS system with it... maybe i'm just crazy but i'm sure a couple other people on here would know for sure. Theres dos prompts but i don't know that theres the complete OS

well see it has MSDOS and ive been try to get the to work but not with alot of luck lol

it actually has command prompt but not actual dos... its like a dos simulation. I googled it to see if i was making an ass of myself by saying theres no dos

XP doesn't have DOS, but it emulates the DOS environment extremely well, I play Doom2, Warcraft2 etc, Sopwith, all sortsa weird old games from back when I was a baby nerd.

well atleast i know it can be done, hmm im having trouble getting the game to install, id ont know why the files are all there, my a drive works, it reads them fine but ti says install interupted by user

ok but my main question, i cant rmeebr some of the commands, like i have a whole snap load of games but i cant remeber half of the commands. like i can accsess the cd drive by
