Foam Silencer question
Hey, i tried using search cause i'm sure someone has asked the same question before but i didnt get anything so here it is. Where can I buy foam from my silencer and how do i install it into the silencer. i have a socom silencer from CA i believe. Or could one of you guys do it? Dont ask me to pay you cuz i'm sure it can be that hard.
where did u buy it? is there a metal tube in there? some come with a metal tube cause its illegal to have foam in your silencer.
[quote="Amateur Ninja"]obviously you dont know him.
well, a lot of people do it and on poweredge usa they have them you can buy with foam in them. why would it be illegal to have foam in an airsoft silencer?
most fabrics store will have foam suitable for your needs. Joannes is a local example in Northern CA.
alright cool. but like what kind of stuff should i get? like what kind of foam? and how do i put it in?
From what I understand, if it will fit on a firearm, defined in CA PENAL CODE

ok. . .honeslty. i wanna get a tm mark23 pistol and i want a foam filled silencer. i have a silencer and i need foam. i'm 17 in jan and i dont own any real guns. i just wanna know how you put it in the silencer for airsoft purposes only.
Take your silencer, find out the what the width and length is. Buy some foam, punch a whole through the middle wide enough for a BB to travel through without any obstructions. Then put it in the silencer.
I was told once by ronnie that they can't sell foam filled silencers without the ATF getting on them because they can be used to quiet down a .22. But anyone with half a brain and an internet connection can find how to make a silencer with stuff you might find around your house (which would also be illegal)
ok. . . well on trinityairsoft they sell 'em like that. and people who go to games here use them so iono why its such a big deal right now lol.
The question was asked, and thus I answered it. It's never been a big deal. However, it's NEVER a bad thing to beware of written law so that you're never surprised of the outcome of your actions. By being aware of law, you're being responsible...
